Agri-food Development

The world population is predicted to grow from 6.9 billion in 2010 to 8.3 billion in 2030 and 9.1 billion in 2050 (UNDESA, 2009). The agricultural sector is going to face enormous challenges because food demand is predicted to increase by 50% in 2030 and by 70% in 2050 (Bruinsma, 2009).

This has to be achieved in spite of the limited availability of arable lands, the increasing need for fresh water (agriculture consumes 70 per cent of the world’s fresh water supply) and other less predictable factors, such as the impact of climate change.

InnVenture operates throughout the "agri-food sector” to help clients adopt new technologies, create new products and services, develop new business models, enter new markets, and assess the impact of infrastructure investments.

In particular our company is the ideal partner for international development projects in given territories that produce high quality food products (fruit, vegetables, rice, etc.).

We have a thorough knowledge of large-scale specialist retailers and of the HORECA channel and we can transfer our know-how and innovation capabilities throughout all the supply chain.

We also help clients to diversify their productions in order to enter markets other than food  (pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, new materials, etc).
